My 1001 Day Project ends in

- Reach an ideal wieght of 190 pounds.
- Learn how to swim.
- Learn how to ride a bike.
Start a list of authors whom I’d like to read.- Read at least 30 new books, 15 of which must be written by individuals from my list of authors whom I’d like to read.
- Study philosophy. Obtain a book covering the basic branches and principles of philosphy, and then choose and read 5 additional books from various authors such as Plato, Descartes, Nietzsche, etc.
- Choose an era and geographical area of History and study it. Read at least three books covering the time period and area.
- Start a dream journal. Keep it bedside and regularly update it for at least three months.
- Begin a writing journal to brainstorm ideas and develop a background for a story.
- Write a short story after developing a writing journal for at least a month.
- After writing a short story, begin writing a full novel. Complete at least 100 pages.
- Write “An Ode to Fred”, my memoirs of Fred the Snowman, for Vicky’s scrapbook.
- Learn French well enough to enjoy all my French language movies without subtitles.
- Decide on a path to pursue for a college or university degree.
- Start coursework and go back to school with the intention of getting said degree.
- Get Cisco CCSP certified.
- Get ISC2 CISSP certified.
- Study Taoism. Read at least two books on the subject.
- Meditate every morning for at least 30 days straight.
- Make a list of tools required to start doing leatherworking crafts. Assemble tools and find a supplier for leather.
- Choose a beginning leatherworking project (such as a belt or a wallet) and repeat until satisfied with the quality of work.
- After completing first leather project, take on a more difficult one.
- Learn how to braid leather.
- Begin practicing calligraphy once more. Memorize at least 4 alphabet sets.
- Take up bonzai (preferably with trees, not kittens).
- Learn to cook chinese cuisine.
Develop and launch a personal website, or blog.- Develop a “Starry Night” theme for WordPress.
- Learn how to dance in at least two different styles (salsa, swing, ballroom, etc).
- Go to at least two live concerts for bands I enjoy.
- Go to a live orchestral concert where classical music is played.
- Watch one of Shakespeare’s plays performed live in a theater.
- Watch a contemporary play in a theater.
- Buy at least 50 new music albums.
- Complete at least 30 tarot readings. Keep a complete journal of them.
- Read a book on etiquette.
- Pick an area where I feel I’m not being courteous or thoughtful, and go out of my way to focus on that area for a week. Do this at least 12 times.
- Take a defensive driving course.
- Go to a club that plays music I enjoy at least once.
- Purchase a prosumer-grade digital camera.
- Complete a photo album with at least 100 photos I’ve taken and really enjoy.
- Assemble the equipment required to take up basic silversmithing.
- Learn how to solder silver and practice until I’m happy with the level of worksmanship.
- Craft a basic piece of silver jewelry, such as a beaded bracelet or necklace.
- Buy my own car and have it paid for in full.
- Move into my own apartment once more.
- Go to Australia for Halloween 2006.
- Visit Teresa in California.
- Visit Mandy in Maine.
- Visit at least two other places on the east coast that I’ve always wanted to go to (Boston, for example).
- Travel to New Zealand.
- Go indoor rock climbing at least once.
- Go snow skiing.
- Go ice skating.
- Donate blood at least 4 times.
- Recertify in both Adult CPR and First-Aid.
- Research possible charities and join one.
- Do volunteer work for a local charity at least twice.
- Send Vicky at least 30 postcards.
- Send 30 postcards to other friends and family members.
- Learn 30 new origami patterns.
- Complete each origami sculpture and give it to someone whom I think would appreciate it.
- Investigate different martial arts, pick one, and pursue it.
- Pursue the possibility of learning re-enactment sword fighting. Find out if there is at least anywhere local to train or spar.
- Organize a workout schedule combining aerobic and muscle building exercises.
- Keep a detailed log of adherence to said schedule.
- Visit chinatown in Seattle at least 3 times.
- Meditate in the Chinese Garden in Seattle.
- Celebrate Chinese New Year in Seattle.
- Start an initial investment of $1000 in a mutual fund or high yield savings account.
- Double the amount of money in said investment fund within a year.
- Go horseback riding.
- Hold a gaming night at least 30 times. Try a new game I’ve never played before each time.
- Become friends with at least one new person.
- Go hiking at least 10 times, a different trail each time.
- Go camping at least 5 times, a different place each time.
- Visit at least two botanical gardens in Washington State.
- Visit at least 12 different local wineries. Buy a bottle of wine each time.
- Memorize all 88 constellations, including names, seasons and positions.
- Work out a full extended budget, including monthly expenses and expidentures like travel to Australia.
- Start my own vegetable and herb garden.
- Cook a meal made with produce picked from said garden.
- Go through a month without making extraneous purchases (DVDs, Music, Books, etc). Put that extra money into savings instead. Do this at least 4 times.
- Visit Cedar Point amusement park. Ride all 16 roller coasters.
- Go to the doctor for a full physical.
- Visit the Washington or Oregon coast (not Seattle). Watch the sunset over the ocean.
- Build a huge sandcastle.
- Get my hair cut. Not short. Just shorter.
- Dye my hair a different color.
- Get a piercing.
- Catalog my books, DVDs and CDs. Start wish lists of titles I don’t have.
- Go snowmobiling.
- Go sailing.
- Ride in a helicopter.
- Get a puppy.
- Take voice lessons.
- Choose 10 different people and send them something as a “secret admirer” without telling them it was from me.
- Send my mother flowers for Mother’s Day.
- Visit all my siblings at least twice, excluding the upcoming family reunion.
- Join a local interest group or community on-line. Participate in discussions and visit a meet-up at least once.
- Go geocaching. Start my own geocache and add it to the community.
